After reading chapter one you should be aware of the basics of photography, the way your camera works, editing photos and composing your photos. In the chapter reading, they listed two topics; "basic equipment functions and what you'll need" and "the basic elements of photography" pick one and discuss, in your own words, what you think the topic was about. Elaborate.

Welcome to beginners digital photography class!
Hello class and welcome to your 16-week beginners digital photography course. I have high expectations for each and every one of you because I believe in you guys! This is not a difficult course so there is NO EXCUSE for failure. The purpose of this course is to help you gain a better understanding of your camera. In this course, you will be learning the basic functioning of your camera so that you are able to shoot in manual mode and to capture a higher quality image of what it is that you are trying to capture. Throughout this course, you will complete 6 homework assignments, 3 group assignments, one paper, and 7 solo photo-based projects. The projects are going to incorporate what you have learned in this course and help you practice the skills you've learned. Each week you will need to turn in AT LEAST 4 practice photos. I will be reviewing your practice photos and giving you notes that are going to help you improve as you finish the course. By the time you complete the program, you will be able to master the use of your digital camera, explain the proper composition and how to take a great quality photo in all conditions, shoot in manual mode and know-how to take high-quality professional photos.
